Density Bonus Law
Franklin County lets developers earn extra density in the R-2 and R-3 residential zones by meeting design standards under Chapter 17.62. The lot-area-per-dwelling-unit ratio can shrink from 5,000 to 3,600 square feet in R-2, and from 3,000 to 2,000 square feet in R-3, in exchange for open space, porches, siding upgrades and other scored features.
