Smoker Rules
Honolulu's Fire Code, amended by ROH § 20-1.1, bars hibachis, grills, smokers, and similar cooking devices on balconies, under overhangs, or within 10 feet of any structure at apartments, condos, and other buildings that aren't one- or two-family homes, unless the fire department's Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) approves the setup first.
