Park Curfew

Horry County's public parks and recreational facilities run on posted hours, generally dawn until dusk, under County Code § 14-15.4(a). The parks and recreation department can adjust hours permanently or seasonally at any site, and being present after posted closing is a code violation enforced under the county's general penalty.

(a)Hours of operation. The parks should be open generally from dawn until dusk every day unless different hours of operation are needed on certain dates. The hours of operation for the facilities will be posted at the individual facilities, and may be modified on a permanent or seasonal basis by the department.
