Pool Permits
A building permit is required before installing a residential swimming pool in unincorporated Jefferson County unless the pool is prefabricated and less than 24 inches deep. The Code Official in the Code Enforcement Division reviews applications under Building Code Section 500.400, and fees are set on a cost-of-construction sliding scale under Section 500.250.
