In Johnston County's unincorporated Agricultural-Residential (AR) district, storage buildings top out at 2,000 square feet, can't sit inside a major subdivision, and need a 70-foot setback from arterial or collector streets, 50 feet from local streets, and 20 feet from interior lot lines. Ordinary accessory buildings need only a 10-foot interior setback plus the district's street setback.
