Flood Elevation
New construction and substantial improvements inside a Johnston County Special Flood Hazard Area must be anchored against flotation and built with flood-damage-resistant materials and equipment. Sec. 14-439's general standards apply countywide in every mapped flood zone, on top of the elevation and floodproofing standards in Sec. 14-440.
