Knox County parks close from a half hour before sunrise to sunset, and Sec. 27-2 bars anyone from entering or remaining in a county park after sunset without special permission from the parks and recreation department. Lighted facilities like ball fields, tennis courts and skateparks stay open until 10:00 p.m. unless posted otherwise, and violators face ejection and misdemeanor charges under Sec. 27-3.
