Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government (LCG) regulates noise under Chapter 34, Article IV of the Code of Ordinances. Quiet hours run 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on weekdays and 10:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. on weekends and federal holidays. Residential limits at the property line are 60 dB(A) daytime and 50 dB(A) nighttime; commercial zones are capped at 65 dB(A) at all hours. Sec. 34-366 sets the maximum permissible sound levels.
