Solicitor Permits
Lake County requires anyone selling door to door or place to place in the unincorporated area, including solicitors taking future orders or collecting charitable donations, to hold a sheriff-issued Itinerant Business Permit under Chapter 11, Article I. The Sheriff's Office vets applicants with fingerprints, a photo and a background check before issuing a one-year, nontransferable permit.
