Unincorporated Marin County exempts temporary, non-commercial holiday and religious decorations from the Sign Permit, Sign Review, and Master Sign Program requirements that apply to every other sign under Chapter 22.60. The exemption holds only while the display stays up during the appropriate time of year, is kept in attractive condition, and does not create a fire hazard; a display that overstays the season loses that protection.
