Business Tax Classification
Unincorporated McCracken County levies a 1% occupational license tax on wages earned in the county and on net profits from business conducted here, collected by the county's occupational tax office under Fiscal Court ordinance. Banks, savings and loans, Kentucky insurance companies, alcohol manufacturers licensed under KRS Chapter 243, and workers or businesses earning under $2,500 in the county are exempt.
