Public Urination

It is unlawful in unincorporated Monterey County for anyone over age ten to willfully and knowingly urinate or defecate in a public place outside a restroom, in a spot open to public view, or on someone else's private property without consent, under County Code Section 11.26.010.

It is unlawful for any person over the age of ten (10) years to willfully and knowingly urinate or defecate in a public place other than a restroom, or in a place open to public view, or upon the private property of another without the consent of the owner.

Skateboarding Rules

In unincorporated Monterey County, riding a skateboard is banned outright on the east side of Mercurio Road's drainage ditch and on Olmstead Road and Jacks Peak Drive, and it becomes illegal wherever a County-owned or private property owner posts a Sheriff-approved sign, under Monterey County Code Chapter 12.56. The rule also covers roller skates and roller blades.
