Unincorporated Moore County requires refuse containers built to keep rodents out. Moore County Code § 8-155 orders every garbage container constructed of metal or equally durable material to be flyproof and rodentproof, and separately bars refuse from being stored in any manner that would give rats harborage or create a fire hazard, backed by health department inspection.
