Storm Debris

After a hurricane, Orange County residents can't legally burn their own storm debris in the yard: chapter 15's open-burning rules reserve that option for the municipal or county government running the official cleanup. Section 15-102 allows open burning of storm-generated vegetative debris and untreated wood only when the local government or its agent does the burning, uses a permitted air curtain incinerator or forestry-division pile burn, and notifies state and county environmental regulators within ten days.
