Code of Ottawa County § 400.3.1.15(a) allows skateboards, scooters, and roller skates on Commission Park Property only where the Ottawa County Parks and Recreation Commission specifically allows them, and bars using any of these devices, or a bicycle, to block traffic or in a careless manner that could injure someone or damage property.

Outdoor Smoking Restrictions

Code of Ottawa County § 400.3.1.6(a)(xviii) prohibits smoking or using a tobacco product, e-cigarette, or similar device in beach areas of Ottawa County parks, covering sand, grass, decks, overlooks, and other structures, plus any adjoining area the Commission signs as covered. The ban is limited to designated beach areas, not every acre of park property or the county at large.

Public Alcohol Use

Code of Ottawa County § 400.3.1.8(a) bars anyone on Commission Park Property from possessing any alcoholic beverage except at specific locations and specific times, after applying through Commission procedures and being granted a permit by the Ottawa County Parks and Recreation Commission or its agent.
