Abandoned Vehicles
Pender County Code § 10-74 bars abandoning motor vehicles on public grounds or private property and lets the county remove and dispose of them under G.S. 153A-132. Inoperable, unregistered vehicles cannot sit unscreened for more than 90 days, and failing to screen or remove one within 30 days of a violation notice is itself a violation, with civil penalties up to $50.00 per day under § 10-76.
