Unincorporated Pickens County adopts the National Electrical Code, along with the International Building, Fuel Gas, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Prevention, Energy Conservation and Residential Codes, as amended by the state building codes council. Construction or alteration violating these mandatory codes is a misdemeanor punishable by up to $200.00 or 30 days in jail.
