San Luis Obispo County lets a residential lot swap its full 25-foot front setback for a 15-foot setback when the parkway strip between curb and sidewalk carries at least one street tree per 50 feet of frontage plus turf or low-maintenance planting. County Code Sec. 22.10.140.D.2.e ties the incentive to on-the-ground tree density, not a discretionary finding, but the attached garage still must sit back a full 25 feet.
