Sumner County requires a Temporary Use Permit before anyone stages a street fair, carnival, or community/tent-assembly event in the unincorporated county. The Board of Zoning Appeals grants the permit as a Special Exception through the Planning Office after a public hearing, and community events or tent assemblies are capped at forty-five days.
