Barking Dogs

Twin Falls County Code section 5-6-1 defines a 'nuisance dog' as one that barks, whines, or howls in an excessive, continuous, or untimely fashion, among other nuisance behaviors. Section 5-6-4.C makes it unlawful to own or harbor such a dog in the unincorporated county, and the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office or People for Pets Humane Society may impound it.

Decibel Limits

Twin Falls County does not set a blanket decibel limit for everyday noise. Its Public Assemblies chapter defines 'loud sound' as any noise measuring 96 decibels or more, and County Code section 5-1-3 requires a Board of County Commissioners permit for any gathering of 300 or more people, on public or private property, where alcohol or that loud sound will be present.
