Unincorporated Yavapai County exempts roof- and ground-mounted solar equipment from the Zoning Clearance requirement under Ordinance Section 205.F.1.b(1). Small-scale solar under Section 501.E still must meet height and setback standards: roof panels under 24 inches above the roof surface, ground panels under 15 feet, still subject to building permit review.
