Augusta-Richmond County Code Sec. 3-1-2 makes it unlawful for anyone under 18 to loiter, wander, stroll or play in streets, parks, public buildings, eating places or other public places without an adult who has lawful authority to be there, between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. on weeknights and between midnight and 5:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. Exceptions cover minors accompanied by a parent or guardian, running an emergency errand, returning from work, exercising First Amendment rights, or traveling in a vehicle with parental consent, including interstate travel through the county. Section 3-1-3 separately makes it unlawful for a parent or guardian to permit the violation.
