Summary
Rowlett bars minors under 17 from public places between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. on school nights, and from just after midnight to 6 a.m. on weekends, under a curfew renewed by the city council through Local Government Code § 370.002.
It shall be unlawful for any minor to purposefully remain, walk, run, stand, drive, or ride about in or upon any public place in the city between the hours of 11:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. of the following day on any Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday; and, from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 6:00 a.m. Saturday and 12:01 a.m. Sunday to 6:00 a.m. Sunday.(b)It shall be unlawful for the parent having legal custody of a minor to knowingly allow or permit the minor to be in violation of the curfew imposed in subsection (a) of this section.
