Wyoming's City Code imposes a juvenile curfew on minors in public places, with standard exceptions for parental accompaniment, lawful employment, supervised activities, and emergencies. Wyoming Police enforce citywide and citations are heard in the 62-A District Court.
Wyoming's juvenile curfew is set in the City Code (typically in the offenses and miscellaneous-provisions chapter, Chapter 50). Minors under 18 may not be on public streets, alleys, parks, or other public places within the City during curfew hours β typically late evening to early morning, with a slightly later start time for older minors and earlier hours for younger minors. Standard exceptions apply: accompanied by a parent or legal guardian; traveling directly to or from lawful employment; attending or returning directly from an adult-supervised school, religious, or civic activity; or responding to a genuine emergency. Wyoming Police may detain a suspected violator and transport the minor home or to police headquarters at 2300 DeHoop Avenue SW for parental pickup. Parents or guardians who knowingly permit a violation may also be cited. Persistent or aggravated cases are referred to the Kent County Family Court Division. The state minimum-age statute (MCL 722.752) backstops the local rule.
A first violation typically brings a written citation in the 62-A District Court; subsequent violations escalate, and parents who knowingly permit violations face fines too. Patterns may trigger Kent County Family Court juvenile-probation involvement. A minor is not booked into adult detention for a curfew offense alone.
