Amarillo's Code of Ordinances Section 12-7-5 sets daily park hours from 5 AM to midnight. Being present in a city park outside these hours is a violation enforced by the Amarillo Police Department.
Amarillo Code of Ordinances Title XII (Parks, Recreation, and Municipal Utilities), Chapter 12-7 (Park Rules), Article I (General), Section 12-7-5 establishes that city parks are open from 5:00 AM to 12:00 midnight daily. Any person found in a city park between midnight and 5:00 AM is in violation of the park curfew. Exceptions may apply for permitted special events or authorized activities. The park curfew applies to all municipal parks operated by the City of Amarillo and is separate from the juvenile public-place curfew in Ch. 10-3. Violations are minor offense citations under Title X.
Violation of Sec. 12-7-5 is a minor offense punishable by a fine not to exceed $500 under Ch. 10-3 general penalty provisions, enforced by Amarillo Police.
