Cedar Rapids, IA Curfew Laws: Park Curfew (2026)

All persons shall leave the parks not later than 10 p.m.(l)No person shall play, practice, or otherwise hit a golf ball in any manner in any park, except in areas specifically designated by the Parks Director and marked with appropriate signs specifying the places golf balls may be hit, and except in an established municipal golf course.(m)No horseback riding shall be permitted, except in areas and trails designated by the Parks Director and so marked with appropriate signs.(n)No person shall bring, use, consume, or have in his or her possession, in a public park, beer in a keg or any other container larger than one quart, except (1) beer permit holders and suppliers or vendors authorized by the Parks Director, or (2) groups holding special events who have been granted a permit by the City Council to have beer for the use of said group in a container or containers larger than one quart. The City Council may establish a permit fee by resolution. The request for the special permit (and payment of the permit fee) must be present while the beer is dispensed and shall be responsible to determine that no beer is dispensed to or consumed by any person under legal age contrary to law.(o)the provision of Subsection (n) above notwithstanding, no person shall bring, use, consume, or have in his or her possession alcohol, wine, or beer in the following city parks located in the City of Cedar Rapids at any time:
