The Davenport Park Rules Ordinance (Municipal Code Chapter 12.72) sets park hours from sunrise to one-half hour past sunset. Section 12.72.050(H)(4) bars parking or storing a vehicle in any city park outside those open hours, and boating is prohibited between closing and the next morning's opening (Sec. 12.72.060). Section 12.72.030(A)(5) prohibits sleeping anywhere in a park from midnight to 6:00 a.m. Minors in parks after 11 p.m. also fall under the juvenile curfew in Chapter 9.52. The Parks and Recreation director may issue permits for after-hours events.
After-hours presence, parking, or camping violates the Park Rules Ordinance, enforced by Davenport Police and Parks and Recreation staff. Lewd conduct or nudity in a park is a simple misdemeanor under Section 12.72.080.
