Metroparks Toledo, the countywide park district for Lucas County, enforces a curfew: no person, vehicle, boat, or animal may enter or remain in a park before or after posted operating hours. Parks are open 7 a.m. until dark daily. Vehicles left after curfew may be towed.
Lucas County's parks are run by the Metropolitan Park District of the Toledo Area (Metroparks Toledo), which adopted Rules and Regulations (Resolution 12-08) under Ohio law. Section 7.1 sets a curfew barring anyone from entering or remaining in a park before or after posted operating hours, except in an emergency or with a special permit. The Metroparks are open from 7 a.m. until dark every day; some facilities run sunrise to sunset. A vehicle left in the park after curfew is in violation and may be towed at the owner's expense. City parks in Toledo have their own posted hours.
Whoever violates any Park Rule shall be fined not more than $100 for a first offense and not more than $500 for each subsequent offense (ORC 1545.99); after-hours vehicles may be towed.
