Clark County Department of Parks and Recreation Policy S.15 (updated Nov 2025) allows recreational drone flights at 28 designated county parks. All flights must follow FAA Part 107 / recreational rules and Remote ID requirements.
Clark County Department of Parks and Recreation Policy S.15 (Drone/UAV Operation Policy) was updated November 10, 2025 to expand the list of drone-approved parks from approximately 8 to 28. Parks where recreational drone operation is allowed include Sunset Park, Wetlands Park, Aliante Nature Discovery Park, Cornerstone Park, and others β full list at the Parks and Recreation website. Park hours apply: most county parks open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Smaller drones designed for racing or aerial maneuvers still require a Special Use Permit from Parks and Recreation. All operations must comply with FAA recreational rules (under 400 feet, line-of-sight, no flights over people or moving vehicles, no night without lighting waiver) plus Remote ID broadcasting (mandatory March 2024). Critically, the CITY of Las Vegas (separate jurisdiction) bans all drones at its city parks β so unincorporated parks are the only legal recreational option in the valley.
FAA violations carry federal civil penalties up to $32,750 per violation. Clark County Parks violations result in expulsion from the park, equipment confiscation, and possible misdemeanor citation under CCC Β§20.16 (park rules).
