" The same paragraph adds a flat, no-exceptions ban during Township special events, a rule added by amendment in 2016 (Ord. No. 16-026). Because the provision lives in Chapter 340, Parks and Playgrounds, it only reaches Township-owned park and recreation land; it does not purport to regulate airspace or flights over private property. Enforcement runs through § 340-5: the Department of Health, Recreation, Senior and Veterans Services and any park attendant may eject a violator from the park and may seize or confiscate the drone or its controller if it was used in violation of the article.

There is no separate drone permit or registration process in the Code; the only path to legal flying inside a park is to use whatever area has been designated for model-aircraft or drone recreation, if any has been set aside, or to fly outside park property altogether. Violations that reach court fall under the Code's general penalty in § 1-2: a fine of up to $2,000, imprisonment of up to 90 days, or up to 90 days of community service, at the judge's discretion, since Chapter 340 sets no penalty of its own for this paragraph.
