Town Code § 100-7B(3) exempts "installation or repair of fences six feet in height or lower in a front or side yard and fences eight feet in height or lower in a rear yard" from the Building Permit requirement that otherwise applies to construction work under Chapter 100. Section 100-7C is explicit that the exemption from needing a permit is not an exemption from having to comply with the Uniform Code, the Energy Code or the rest of the Town Code, so a taller or nonconforming fence built without review can still be cited even though no permit was pulled.
