This is unique among Volusia County municipalities. Side and rear fences may be up to 6 feet. Chain link is prohibited in front and side corner yards in single-family zoning districts but allowed in side yards not extending beyond the principal structure and in rear yards. In B-5 and I-1 districts, masonry walls up to 6 feet are permitted in front setbacks for screening.
Fences exceeding height limits receive a notice to comply with a 30-day correction deadline. Failure to comply carries fines of $50–$200 per day until the fence is brought into compliance.
