Legal discharge periods are June 1-July 8 and December 10-January 3 (9 AM to 10 PM, extended to 11 PM on July 4 and Dec 31/Jan 1). Cedar Rapids may impose additional restrictions within city limits including shorter time windows or designated discharge areas. Burn ban periods may further restrict fireworks. Professional displays require Iowa State Fire Marshal permits.
