Full Breakdown

Midwest City Code § 15-32 makes it unlawful and an offense to store, sell, transport, explode or discharge fireworks anywhere in the city, and separately bans manufacturing fireworks within city limits outright. The only exception is a supervised public display: under § 15-33, the fire official may issue a permit to associations, amusement parks or other groups after a written application filed at least 30 days ahead and proof of at least $1,000,000 in general liability insurance, using an approved operator. Permits are nontransferable. Under § 15-34, the fire official may seize and remove, at the owner's expense, any fireworks stock found stored, offered for sale or held in the city in violation of the chapter.

Violations & Fines

Storing, selling, transporting, exploding or discharging fireworks without a permit is unlawful and an offense. The fire official can seize and remove all illegal stock at the owner's expense (§ 15-34).
