SJMC §10.17.100 makes it unlawful for any person to possess, store, offer for sale, or use any fireworks in San Jose. Professional display permits require a licensed pyrotechnician and approval from the Bureau of Fire Prevention at (408) 535-7750. Unused consumer fireworks can be dropped off at any of San Jose's 33 fire stations.
