Section 27-53(f) covers seven specific requirements for LP-gas systems. Liquid-form LPG cannot be conveyed through piping equipment inside a building, and it cannot be vaporized using devices with an open flame or an open electrical coil, both rules aimed at preventing an ignition source from meeting raw gas. Where a property runs two or more containers, they must be connected so a tank can be swapped without shutting off gas flow to connected equipment, and every container must be designed, stored and located so it is not a hazard to the property it serves or to neighboring property, though the Code does not print a specific setback distance in this subsection.

Systems need safety devices that relieve excessive pressure and discharge to a safe location, and at least one accessible shutoff must be located outside the building and kept in working order. The final clause folds in a second layer of law: LP-gas systems must also be installed, used and maintained as required by the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code, so a Syracuse property owner is bound by both the local storage rules in 27-53(f) and the state fire code's more detailed tank-size and clearance standards.
