Centennial, CO Fire Regulations: Wildfire Zones (2026)

The provisions of this chapter establish the methodology used to identify, designate, and record wildfire hazard areas within the City of Centennial. Wildfire hazard areas shall be based on the 2025 Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code State Map ("CWRC Map"), as developed by the Division of Fire Prevention and Control and the Colorado State Forest Service at the direction of the Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code Board, and as adopted by the City. Updates or revisions to the CWRC Map may be adopted by resolution or ordinance of the City Council. Administrative adjustments to reflect parcel boundary changes, annexations, mapping corrections, or GIS refinements that do not alter wildfire hazard classifications may be approved administratively by the Code Official. The adopted map shall be used to determine wildfire hazard designations and to regulate development and mitigation requirements under this code. (Ord. 2026-O-03, §1)
