Marysville, WA Food Trucks & Mobile Vendors: Food Truck Permits (2026)

Marysville Municipal Code § 22C.260.020 requires every mobile food vendor operating on private property to file a business license under Chapter 5.02 MMC, a site plan showing vehicle ingress and egress, unit location, signs and accessory equipment, and site conditions such as property lines and parking. The vendor must also submit a photograph of the unit and any signs, a copy of the Snohomish Health District permit, current Washington State vehicle registration, and a signed agreement with the property owner covering restroom access; portable restrooms are not allowed on site. The section sets the insurance floor at $500,000 in public liability coverage and $25,000 in property damage coverage per occurrence.

Section 22C.260.030 layers on operating limits that apply once a permit issues: a unit may not work the same property more than three days in any calendar week, or 12 days in any month, hours run 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and no one may sleep in the unit. Vendors must wire to Chapter 16.12 MMC electrical standards with no overhead or ground-level lines where the public can reach them, get fire district approval before operating, install and maintain a grease trap, dispose of grease under state health rules, and clear all trash and litter within 100 feet of the unit before leaving each day. Section 22C.260.060 lets the city revoke, suspend, or deny a permit under MMC § 5.02.130 for violating the chapter or for operating in a way that harms surrounding businesses.
