Sec. 3.7.10 of the ULDC requires every mobile food vendor to be licensed by the state, park only with the property owner's written permission, and operate between 7:00 a.m. and midnight (10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. blackout in CT and COR districts). Trucks must leave the site daily rather than park overnight on a street or sidewalk, and are barred from providing customer seating or amplified music. In non-residential and CT/COR districts, no more than one truck is allowed per parcel (food truck parks excepted), and trucks must keep 100 feet from residential lots, restaurant entrances, and other food trucks, and 5 feet from hydrants, sidewalks, and entrances. In residential districts, mobile food vending is allowed only at an HOA-sanctioned neighborhood event.

The mobile vendor's owner and the property owner are both individually liable for violations of the siting and operating rules; a vendor caught illegally disposing of grease or liquid waste must stop operating immediately.
