Quick-stop vendors have a 10-minute limit per transaction.
Section 115.18 of the Pompano Beach Code of Ordinances governs mobile vendors, itinerant merchants, and peddlers. A mobile vendor is defined as a person or business selling goods, beverages, or foodstuffs from a mobile vending vehicle. Sales on private property require written consent from the property owner and must be limited to individuals on that property. No mobile vendor may stop at metered parking spaces for selling purposes. Prohibited areas include streets where parking is banned by signs, curb markings, or ordinance. Quick-stop mobile vendors that make immediate sales and move on are exempt from some provisions but cannot remain stationary more than 10 minutes after the last transaction. State DBPR and Broward County health permits are also required.
Operating without required licenses or in prohibited areas violates §115.18. Fines and vendor license revocation may result.
