055(G) requires that a street vendor located on a sidewalk maintain a minimum clearance of five feet at all times. Subsection (H) bars vendors from locating within the portion of an improved street right-of-way designed for vehicular traffic or parking, and requires that any vendor on a sidewalk or in the right-of-way be oriented toward pedestrian traffic movement or safety, with any application to locate in the street right-of-way requiring approval by the city traffic engineer so the unit does not interfere with vehicular or pedestrian traffic or safety.

Size is capped by subsection (O): a nonmotorized mobile vending unit is limited to 30 square feet for sidewalk locations, versus 50 square feet for a unit in the street right-of-way or on private property, and no nonmotorized unit may exceed 10 feet in length in any location. Subsection (M) requires a sidewalk vendor to submit written approval for the vending site from the abutting property owner and/or tenant with the application; if the owner and tenant disagree, the property owner's decision controls. Subsection (E) requires the vending site be kept clean and orderly, with the vendor providing a refuse container, and bars leaving inventory, equipment or structures on any sidewalk or right-of-way overnight.
