060 sets the operating conditions attached to every City-issued sidewalk vending permit. unless posted otherwise; the City Manager may further restrict hours in nonresidential areas to match neighboring businesses. Subsection (K) bans placing a cart within 50 feet of another vendor, 25 feet of a street corner or crosswalk, 15 feet of a fire hydrant, 10 feet of a bus stop, 25 feet of a driveway, 18 inches of the curb edge, 15 feet of an ATM, 100 feet of an officer or firefighter on duty, 25 feet of an alley, 15 feet of a handicapped space, 50 feet of a freeway ramp, 25 feet of a City parking structure, and 250 feet of a marked Santa Clarita Marathon route on event days; placement must also preserve at least four feet of clear, ADA-compliant sidewalk width.

Subsection (I) bars vending within 1,000 feet of a school boundary during opening, closing, or lunch recess hours. Subsection (H) bars stationary carts entirely from residential zones, though a mobile cart may move continuously through one. Subsection (J) bans selling counterfeit goods, secondhand items, animals, drugs, weapons, alcohol, fireworks, cannabis, or tobacco.
