Summary

It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in the business of retailing and selling any beverage or food product for human consumption from a temporary, portable or mobile unit without first obtaining, in addition to a city business license, a food service sanitation certificate from the state and complying with the conditions of this article. 3-2R-2: EXCEPTIONS: This article shall have no application to the sale of candy and refreshments in a public building or facility where such items are normally vended in connection with sporting or recreational activities carried on in such facilities, unless the vending is from a mobile or portable base not a permanent part of the facility where such sales take place. 3-2R-3: PORTABLE FACILITY DEFINED: For purposes of this article, a facility shall be considered to be portable if it is equipped or constructed so as to be easily transportable, and its use is not limited to a single location or premises. 3-2R-4: OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A. Inspections:
1. Inspection shall be made initially and at least once a year thereafter by the chief of police, or officer delegated by him, of the vehicle or portable facility to be used for the sale of food and beverage.
