Garfield permits fixed-location food trucks only in the B-1 Central Business District, with one truck per lot, a 40-foot length limit, and an annual licensing process.
Under the Fixed Location Food Trucks ordinance, only the B-1 Central Business District allows fixed-location food truck operation. A fixed location food truck means a retail food establishment on a movable motorized vehicle operating from a stationary location, not exceeding 40 feet in length, and never on a public roadway. Only one fixed-location food truck is permitted per lot. Licenses run from January 1 through December 31 and may be renewed annually through the City Clerk. Mobile vendors elsewhere fall under the separate Mobile Food Handlers chapter.
Operating outside the B-1 district, parking on a public roadway, exceeding the 40-foot length, or stationing more than one truck per lot can result in zoning citations and license revocation.
