Vending is also barred within the immediate vicinity of a certified farmers' market or swap meet during its hours of operation, and within a special-event permit area for the duration of that event.
Violations & Fines
Vending inside any of these buffer zones is a violation of Chapter 5.04, Article V, enforced by administrative citation under Section 5.04.520 rather than as a criminal infraction or misdemeanor, at the rate set by the Chapter 1.12 fee schedule. The city manager may rescind a vendor's business license for the remainder of its term on a fourth citation, and the city council has separately declared vending that violates these location restrictions a public nuisance subject to abatement and impoundment of the cart and goods under Section 5.04.540.
