50 to cover any sale by a homeowner, apartment occupant or other residential dweller of unwanted or surplus household goods, whether it is called a garage, lawn, attic, rummage, moving or flea market sale, so long as no inventory or detailed transaction records are kept. 51 caps the frequency at a maximum of two garage sales per calendar year at the same location, and limits each sale to a maximum of three consecutive days that must fall on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays or holidays; a sale cannot run midweek or stretch past three days even across a long weekend.
