Grand Prairie Code Section 29-79 requires all garage and yard sales to be authorized by permit. An application must be submitted and permit tags obtained from the Code Compliance manager or designee. The city allows online registration for garage sale permits through the Code Compliance division website. No more than 2 garage sales may be conducted at any location within a 12-month period, with each sale not exceeding 3 consecutive days. Sales are restricted to used personal household items β new merchandise, commercial goods, and consignment items are prohibited. The sale must take place on the residential property.
