Sampson County's home occupation standards regulate customer traffic through both hours and daily headcounts. Section 2-26-03 sets one traffic-and-parking rule for every home occupation in every zoning district: employee vehicles must park on-site, on-street parking is reserved for customers only, that on-street parking cannot extend past the property line or block traffic flow, and no customer or employee traffic is allowed outside 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday or 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday. Beyond those universal hours, the Ordinance layers numeric customer caps onto specific use types by district.

In Residential and Mixed Residential districts under § 2-26-04.B, Personal Services such as barber, beauty, nail and tanning work are limited to five customers per day. On Residential Agricultural or Commercial lots under two acres, § 2-26-05.B raises that to ten customers per day for Personal Services, Nursery Sales and enclosed Craft Sales, and caps on-site auto-garage repair work at three customer vehicles at a time, stored behind a six-foot opaque privacy fence. On RA or Commercial lots of two acres or more, § 2-26-06.B raises the daily cap again, to fifteen customers per day for Personal Services, Craft Sales, and retail Craftsmen Services, with those retail hours further limited to 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, and it allows up to five customer vehicles on-site for auto-garage work.
