3(D)(2) of the Santa Fe Land Development Code sets the standards every home occupation must follow. on weekends. The land use director can reduce those hours further depending on the nature of the home occupation, and deliveries are capped at vehicles no taller than 11 feet and no longer than 20 feet. This sits alongside other traffic-limiting standards in the same section: (D)(2)(a)(iv) caps the operation at no more than two people other than resident family members regularly engaged in the business, and (D)(2)(e) ties parking to whether clients visit at all, requiring one parking space per 400 square feet of home-occupation floor area, beyond the dwelling's own parking, whenever customers or clients come to the premises.

Subsection (D)(2)(g)(i) adds a notice trigger: anyone proposing a home occupation with more than one off-site employee or with customers or clients coming to the property must mail notice to residents and property owners within 150 feet, describing the number of employees and whether clients will visit, giving neighbors 15 days to comment before the land use director rules on the application. Home occupations that draw customers or clients to the premises are also subject to a mandatory pre-registration inspection under (D)(2)(f)(ii).
