There may be no exterior displays, no outdoor equipment storage, and no other outside indication that changes the residential appearance of the home. Cities such as Kingman, Lake Havasu City, and Bullhead City apply their own sign codes, and subdivision CC&Rs often ban home-business signs entirely, on top of the county limit.
County code enforcement can order removal of a noncompliant sign and treat continued display as a home occupation violation, which risks permit revocation. HOA covenant breaches are enforced privately.
